感謝愛我們的主耶穌基督，給我們開墾這一頁園地，藉此接通我和你們會友交往的網絡，打開我們的心窗，使我們可以坦誠地暢所欲言，談心論道。
當然此時此地，在此我要開宗明義地向你們宣告這園地的要旨有三：問安、談心、祝福。
問安：我和你的關係，既是主內肢體的聯繫(參林前十二12-31)，是痛癢相關，苦樂與共的奇妙,而又微妙的連繫。正如保羅述志：「有誰軟弱，我不軟弱呢？有誰跌倒，我不焦急呢？」(林後十一29)你們也應就是我的榮耀、我的冠冕、我的喜樂(腓四1)！榮耀是說我們關係在主裡的尊貴！冠冕是說你們是神特給我的賞賜恩物！喜樂是我們生命和諧的成果！為此我要向神感恩頌讚！「我願你們凡事興盛，身體健壯，正如你們的靈魂興盛一樣。」(約參2)
談心：這裡是我向你們敞開心扉，推心至腹的心底話。那又是多麼關懷、體貼、真誠的靈交啊！因我們所談的無非是神國，教會，聖工的進展，務求達致榮神益人的事奉，那又怎不叫我們興奮，享受這神聖的樂趣！
祝福：我給你祝福，神就要賜福給你(參創十二3)。「願賜平安的神，親自使你們全然成聖‧又願你們的靈、與魂、與身子，得蒙保守，在我主耶穌基督降臨的時候，完全無可指摘。」(帖前五23)
Pastor's Voice: Contact Point
Thanks to our loving Lord Jesus Christ for opening up this garden plot for us. Through this plot the communicating network between you CABC members and me is established. Opening our heart window enables us to express ourselves openly, have a tete-a-tete, and discuss the Word freely.
At this point and time I want to draw an outline delineating the three purposes and objectives of this garden plot: to greet, have a tete-a-tete, and to bless.
Greeting: The relationship between you and me on one hand, is like members of a body in Christ (Refer to 1 Corinthians 12:12-31), we feel each other's pain and itch, sharing the bitter and joy together via the wonderful and delicate connection. As apostle Paul said "Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is make to stumble and I do not turn with indignation?" (2 Corinthians 11:29) You are also my glory, my crown, and my joy (Refer to Philippians 4:1)! Glory is referring to the dignity of our relationship in Christ! Crown is because you are the special gift that God gave me! Joy is the fruit of harmony from our life! For these I praise God! "I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." (3 John 2)
Tete-a-Tete: Here would be the sincere saying from the bottom of my heart with my heart door leave wide open. How a caring, thoughtful, and sincere spiritual communication that is! For what we cover would be solely about God's kingdom, church, progress of God's ministries, the services that glorify God and beneficial to mankind. How can it not excite us to enjoy the sacred joy and fun!
Blessing: I bless you, and God will bless you (Refer to Genesis 12:3). "May the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Thessalonians 5:23)

Pastor Pen:
This is the article that would have never been written - except by God's grace.
God works in gracious, miraculous, and even mysterious ways. For Kathy and me, God worked in such a way that He did it below the radar. The Lord led us to Chinese American Bible Church through a casual meeting at a wedding last August. I met a guy by the name of Ken Chin who knew about the church and that there was a need there to find a pastor. We started talking and he asked me whether I was looking for a new pastoral ministry and I said that I was. He asked for my business card and he later passed it on to Timothy Kwok, the elder at the church. Things started to happen quickly and before you know it, Timothy called me and asked if he and I could get together for lunch at a restaurant in Edison. As we talked, we both sensed that the Lord had given us a common calling and vision and we believed that it seemed that God had brought us together for a reason.
I went through the interview process and the Lord had confirmed through prayer to both Kathy and me and also the church leaders and the rest of the congregation that the Lord had called us to this church and for me to serve as their pastor.
Isn't it amazing how God worked in our lives, our church, and in this whole situation? Kathy and I have really seen God's grace in revealing where He wanted us to serve. I am sure that our church has seen His grace and faithfulness in providing a wonderful place for worship and ministry and now leading someone to pastor His people. There are so many verses that refer to God's faithfulness, but there is one verse that stands out; I am reminded of Hebrews 10:23 - "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful."
We look forward to serving and ministering at Chinese American Bible Church and seeing more of the Lord's grace and faithfulness as we believe that He will do great and mighty things, beyond what we could ever ask or imagine.
